Alumni and the public in Melbourne, Australia are invited to the opening plenary of a conference at the University of Melbourne.

Wednesday 21 March 5.15 – 8.00pm

The opening plenary discussion will be held with:

  • Tony Bebbington,  The University of Manchester’s Global Development Institute, and the University of Melbourne
  • Luis Eslava, University of Kent
  • Uma Kothari, The University of Manchester’s Global Development Institute, and the University of Melbourne
  • Regina Scheyvens, Massey University
  • Chair: Professor Lesley Head, University of Melbourne

The opening plenary and reception will be preceded by a Welcome to Country by Wurundjeri Land Council, ahead of the panel reflecting on inequalities.  The panel is followed by a drinks reception. Prof Hulme will also be present and would be delighted to meet alumni from The University of Manchester a the drinks reception.
