The Research for Transformation Lab is an initiative at GDI that aims to foster research into real-world impact. The Transformation Lab week will facilitate conversations between researchers and practitioners with a series of discussions, lunches and a panel session featuring GDI academics.

Unintended Consequences of the Research Impact Agenda – joint session with HCRI

In this session, we will reflect on the research impact agenda. GDI’s Prof. David Hulme and Prof. Larissa Fast, Dr Birte Vogel and Dr Jessica Field (HCRI) explore the many unintended consequences associated with ‘impact’, including reflections on ethics.  

 

 

Research for Transformation: ‘Slow Impact’

Through reflections on their research and practice, Prof. Ralitza Dimova, Dr Oliver Bakewell and Prof. Kunal Sen will consider themes such as trust, partnerships and the time it takes to build and develop ‘impactful’ research.
